Cadiz is one of the oldest cities in Western Europe, founded by the Phoenicians 3,000 years ago. It has since been an important commercial port on the Mediterranean, first, and to America, then. It is also usual stop for cruise ships. Located on a small peninsula, the city is full of historic buildings and squares, picturesque corners and plenty to see and do.
